

He was born on November 19, 1950 in Corona Queens, New York. Joseph was a gentle bear who never had an ill word for anyone. He would greet you with his beautiful smile, strong handshake and a twinkle in his eye. He had many talents including community theater at Our lady of Lourdes Little Theater in Queens, New York and cooking with Chef Mary Ann Esposito on public television, however Joseph was the happiest in his kitchen baking Italian cookies for the holidays and making homemade macaroni. He loved home life with Mark, often floating around the pool planning their next adventure. All in all, Joseph was a kind and gentle man.
Known as Uncle Joe to his many nieces and nephews he was known as Uncle Joey to the great nieces and nephews. He taught them how to bake cookies and their favorite, making homemade pizza. They adored spending time with him but his love for them was unmatched.
Joseph is survived by his loving husband of 40 years, Mark Innocenzi, sister Andrea, brother Anthony and sister-in-law Pauline Tubridy, Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Scott and Kathy Innocenzi and sister-in-law Debbie Innocenzi. He will be missed by his numerous friends and family including his Aunt Rita, cousin JoEllen and God child Kristin.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents Salvatore and Josephine Brancato.
Joseph’s life will be celebrated at Coral Ridge Cemetery in the main chapel on November 12, 2025. The Gathering of Friends and Family will start at 11:00 am and the Memorial Service at 12:00 noon.
