

Joseph M. Mazurkiewicz, Sr. May 31, 1931 – May 20, 2024, passed from this life to be with his Heavenly Father, May 20th, surrounded by his family and at complete peace with his Lord. Joseph was born in Norwich, Connecticut as the only child of his parents Matthew “Nelson” and Mary Mazurkiewicz and moved to Cape Coral with his family in 1968. He was preceded in death by both his parents and his loving wife of 66 years Rosalie seven years ago. He is survived by his three children: Joseph, Jr. (Sue); Gail Fagan (Greg); Linda Wendt (William); nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; many relatives; and numerous friends in the community.
Joseph was a devout Catholic and was a man of absolute faith. He was a strong, loving, caring soul who found great joy in being with his family. He was extremely proud of the success of his children, all his grandchildren who lovingly called him Porkchop, and completely enjoyed all the special moments he was able to spend with his great grandchildren and great-great grandson.
He was a very successful businessman and community leader. His impact on the community will be felt through his efforts and the efforts of his family who will be forever grateful for his strength, love and guidance. He will be greatly missed by everyone whose path he has crossed and lives he has impacted.
A visitation for Joseph will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery Inc, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33991. A funeral mass will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Blvd S, Cape Coral, FL 33904 on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11:00 am, followed by a graveside service at the the Coral Ridge Cemetery, 1630 SW Pine Island Rd, Cape Coral, FL 33991 from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm. A celebration of his life will immediately follow at the Coral Ridge Funeral Home Community Room.
