Josephine “Jay” Rocco, 103, of Cape Coral, Fl., died Monday, January 18, 2016. Formerly of Huntington Station, New York, she resided here since 1980. Born September 14, 1912 in Bronx, New York, Jay is survived by her loving daughter, Joyce and her husband Dennis Riffelmacher, sister Lori and her husband Charlie Spatafora, 3 grandchildren, Dawn and her husband Jeff Andrews, Dennis and Kurt Riffelmacher, 3 great grandchildren, Chris and Anna Spires, Erich and Ashley Spires, Kristin and Ryan Quartuccio, 4 great great grandchildren, Sophia, Milan, Brayden, Mason and many nieces and nephews. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Salvador in 1984, 2 sisters and 5 brothers.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday January 28 at 11:30 AM at St. Andrew Catholic Church with burial to follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00-3:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Road, Cape Coral.
