Our beloved Kalyn Horney passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at only 51 years young.

Kalyn was born in Detroit, Michigan on Dec. 2, 1968. She attended the L’anse Cruese School district, graduating in 1986. On October 17, 1992 Kalyn married the love of her life, Kenneth Horney. On July 1, 1999 their beautiful daughter, Katrina, joined their young family.

Following high school, Kalyn obtained her cosmetology license, then went on to get her degree as a licensed certified Nutritionist.

Kalyn and her family resided in Harrison Township, Michigan until 2005 when they moved to Pine Island, Florida enjoying the “Salt Life” close to the Gulf.

Kalyn is survived by her loving husband Ken, Daughter Katrina, Parents Michael and Kathryn Di Trapani, and many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as her numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Harry and Dolores Socin, Stanley and Genevieve Zukowski, Aunt Margaret Socin and Uncles Mark Socin and Randy Socin.

A memorial service will be held for family and friends at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 950 Chiquita Blvd S., Cape Coral, Florida on Friday, January 17th from 11:00 AM until 03:00 PM with a prayer service at 02:00 PM.
