Katherine Deloris Woods

Kay lived in West Virginia, Indiana, New Jersey and in recent years Cape Coral. Kay was at her happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends. She loved being in the sunshine with her feet in the sand. Kay enjoyed traveling which brought her much joy. She was blessed to travel to several places around the world. She loved children and cared for many that became her extended grandchildren (Patrick, Andrew, Ryan, Evan and Brittany). One of Kay’s passions was animals. She had a deep love for cats and leaves behind her two babies, Candy and Paul.

Kay is survived by her beloved spouse of 58 years, David J. Woods. Sr. She is lovingly survived by her four children, Bentley Orr, Kim Bowyer (Sam Bowyer), Brandi K. Woods (Philip J. Aiello, Jr.), David J. Woods, II (Laura Woods). Her grandchildren, Brock Triplett (Anna Triplett), Kasie Orr, Chelsey Triplett, Angelina Woods and David J. Woods III. As well as her great grandchildren Faith Triplett, Jensen Triplett, Jorja Doss and Easton Holeman. Many nieces and nephews that loved her deeply. Her extended family that cared for her, Bryan and Nora Hanson.

Kay is preceded in death by her mother and father Emma and Woodrow Moody. Her brothers Julian Moody, William Moody and sisters Barbara Batten and Jean Mitzel.

A visitation will be held at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33991, on July 18th at 12pm with a 1pm graveside service with food and refreshments to follow.

In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution in the name of Katherine Woods to her favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
