

Keith Dean Cline, 52, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away, February 15, 2012 after a short illness. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends. Known to his family and friends as “Cline”, Keith was born in Marion, Indiana on December 10, 1959 to Barbara Ancil Cline and Max Ancil, but raised by his mother and adoptive father, Richard Cline. Keith credits his maternal grandparents, Willard and Ruth Norton among his greatest influences.
He is survived by his beautiful daughters, Amanda E. Cline and Jennifer J. Cline, whom he loved and adored and also Eileen Sweeney Cline. Keith had a wonderful extended family in Indiana, Connecticut and New Jersey, including his in-laws Wayne (deceased) and Jeanette Sweeney, as well as the Sweeney, Cardillo, Gaffey, Handley and Norton families. Keith was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and several extended family members.
Keith was a member of the United States Marine Corps upon graduating from high school and served his beloved country well. He believed that “once a Marine, always a Marine”, and continued the Marine Corps tradition by being a generous supporter of the Marine Corps League “Toys for Tots” program. Keith was a longtime parishioner at Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord and counted Monsignor Steven “Ed” McNamara as one of his dearest friends. He was a tremendous supporter of any charity that asked and was especially proud of being a longtime member of the Sorin Society of benefactors at the University of Notre Dame. Keith loved to travel and saw the World like most could only dream. He traveled anytime he could and shared that love with his amazing daughters, family and also many friends. Keith had so many special clients and friends all over the world whose friendships he truly cherished. Among his favorite places to visit were Ireland, Australia, Kapalua on Maui, Hi and of course, South Bend, IN to watch his Fighting Irish every fall. Keith enjoyed golf and spending time with his family and friends and also earned 2 Black Belts in Tae Kwon Do. Keith was a Senior Vice President and Wealth Management Specialist at Raymond James and Associates for 25 wonderful years, where he was also the Branch Manager for over 10 years. Keith moved his practice to Morgan Stanley Smith Barney a year ago along with his cherished assistant of 10 years, Karen Schuman Barnes.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 22 from 5:00pm – 8:00 pm at Hodges-Kiser Funeral Home, 9231 Cypress Lake Drive Fort Myers, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 23 at 10:30 am at Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord, 8121 Cypress Lake Drive Fort Myers, FL. Monsignor Steven Edward McNamara will officiate. Full Military Honors will follow the service at the Church, along with a luncheon in the Parish Hall.
