

Born on June 9, 1956, in New York, NY, Kerry was the son of the late Patrick and Elizabeth (Fox) Murphy. Kerry dedicated his career to serving others as a proud member of the New York Fire Department, where he worked with courage and compassion out of Ladder Company 29 until his retirement.
After retiring, Kerry relocated to Cape Coral, where he embraced the sunshine and slower pace of life. He found joy on the golf course, spending countless hours perfecting his swing and enjoying the camaraderie of fellow golfers. His love for the game reflected his easygoing nature and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.
Kerry will be remembered for his unwavering dedication, warm humor, and generous heart. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.
He is survived by his three children, Sean Murphy, Erin Craddock and Meghan Jacobs; one sister, Claire Murphy; four grandchildren; as well as extended family members and friends.
The family will gather privately to honor Kerry’s memory.
