Kim Victor Fawcus Jones, 78, a resident of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2026, in Cape Coral, under the loving care of Hope Hospice. He was born September 21, 1948 in Bucyrus, OH to the late Jacque and Veronica (Fawcus) Jones.
Kim was a proud United States Vietnam veteran and carried that service with pride throughout his life. He was a true people person who loved socializing, making friends, and never met a stranger. Whether walking the dogs around the neighborhood or stopping to chat with the neighbors, Kim always had time for a conversation and a smile.
He enjoyed golfing, taking in the beautiful Florida sunsets, and, perhaps most of all, keeping up with the “who, what, where, when, and why’s” of everything happening around him. Kim had a genuine curiosity about people and life, and he loved being in the know.
Above all else, Kim loved his family through and through. They were at the heart of his life, and the love he had for them will remain one of his greatest legacies.
Kim will be remembered for the philosophies he shared so freely, the wisdom he offered, and the stories and humor that could always bring a smile. He had a genuine heart for others and was always willing to care, help, and put the needs of those he loved before his own. His love for his family will remain with us always.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory, including his wife, Tracy; his daughter, Christy; his grandchildren, Eli and Raelyn; and his three siblings, Graham, Mark, and Heather. He will also be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and many lifelong friends.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
Family and friends will be invited to come together to honor his memory, share stories, and celebrate the life of a man who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
