On the evening of June 10, 2019 Lawrence Scott Wilkins, 63, went home to be with Our Lord. Scotty Wilkins is survived by his wife and greatest love, Peggy Wilkins; his daughter and son-in-law, Annie and PJ Goldfeder; his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Aimee Aubry; his mother, Joyce Lowe; his brother, James MacLean; and his sister, Joyce Tirico. He is also survived by his four grandchildren: Michael, Joseph, Luke, and Jake. His eldest grandchild and best friend, Michael Jakob, graduated from the police academy the evening of Scotty’s passing, following proudly in his grandfather’s footsteps of public service. Scotty worked as a corrections officer in New York City before relocating to Cape Coral, FL where he worked as an auto mechanic and real estate broker. He loved his family more than anything and always put everyone’s needs before his own. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Our world was a better place because of him. Services will be held this Saturday at the Cape Coral Hope Hospice House Chapel at 3 pm.

We just returned from being away to learn of Scotty's passing and like you, we are in shock. Along with the many fans, friends and family of Hobbit, we are incredibly sad his light was extinguished much too soon.

As many of you have said, Hobbit loved his family...BIG TIME. His beloved wife, best friend & partner Peggy, Ma Hobbit, brother James, sister Joyce, Annie, Michael, many of their friends, nieces, nephews, and a whole host of dogs were all the focus of his life and brought out his best.

We had the good fortune of being neighbors, friends, business associates; we watched the passage of life with weddings, graduations, business successes, grandchildren, arrival and departure of canine friends.

We will miss him and always remember his unique personality and approach to life.

We met Scotty and Peggy in 2001 when we came to Kelly Greens and from our Real Estate agents they became our FRIENDS! Anyone who met Scotty would know in an instant that he was a Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Loyal Dog Owner. His eyes would actually sparkle as you would talk with him about his beloved Family and his Pets. Never, a harsh word Spoken by this KIND and GENTLE MAN! Those are our memories of Scotty and we are very Thankful we were able to call him "OUR FRIEND"

Rest In Peace, Scotty,
Claude & Doris

So hard to pick one favorite memory because he was such an amazing man...
And I promise everytime you were around him it was memorable... My favorite stories Hobb used to tell us that never got old was how much he always loved my Aunt Peggy... Unconditionally since they were kids... I was honored to call Hobb my uncle... Something I will hold dearly in my heart for the rest of my life... Thank you for always being such a big part of our lives growing up... I will Love and Miss you beyond words always and forever... Until we meet again...
Love always,
Shannon
