Dear Kelly family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. While words seem somewhat minimal right now in bringing  comfort, I pray you can find some peace in knowing how much Leslie impacted others lives in a positive way. Even though we fell out of touch later in high school, we had reconnected on Facebook, and I was happy to find my old friend. 
I have so many wonderful memories of Leslie, and your family as well (I spent a lot of nights in the house on Ridgeway). I have that St Judes picture of Leslie (on this site), and I think my pic from that year looks very similar (“shag” haircut). There are certain memories I will always connect to Leslie and your house - sitting in one of the upstairs rooms listening to Houses of the Holy, watching Twilight Zone in your family room, borrowing satin shirts from older sisters (Disco era), and stealing your dad’s cigarettes (not one of our finer moments). But mostly, I will remember the kindness of Leslie and your family, especially your parents, who were always so gracious. Leslie and I had a lot of fun and laughter together, and she will always be in my heart. Prayers to all of you during this difficult time. 

Dear Margie & Family, 
No words could ever come close to expressing my deepest sorrow, and heart felt sadness for the unbearable grief and mourning your family are faced with. While I wasn't fortunate enough to have known Leslie, it's very clear that she was deeply loved by so many people, family & friends alike.   She will will be missed for a lifetime. Margie is, & always has been, one of my dearest, and closest friends. So when she told me that Leslie had died that morning, this devastating loss (for  your entire family!) has saddened me deeply. Margie & I have been friends since Middle School, and she has, & always will be, my closest & dearest friend.  I'm also very aware of the deep love she has for her family. I pray that your family will find comfort and solace in the loving arms of each other, & to always be aware that God is as close as each breath we take.  As many of you may already know, my 28 year son, Steven, unexpectedly died  in 2006. And as hard as I tried to collect the shattered pieces of my heart, and to learn about how to grieve, it's taken nearly 12 years to really begin moving through the excruciating pain and grief that I had been looking for anything to avoid feeling the excruciating grief that is in inevitable when someone you love dies so suddenly. I'm finally in a place, after 1 year in therapy, & 3-5 AA meetings a week, to where (most of the time anyway!) I'm able to feel immense gratitude that I was so fortunate to have 28 years with such an amazing young man. May God bless each & every one of you with his eternal 💘 love, and help ease the suffering, heartache, anguish, and sorrow that is inevitable when the loss of such a  precious woman, mother, wife, daughter, sibling, & friend brings forth. You are all in my heart and prayers.

While I was closer to Kim and Margie I enjoyed knowing another Kelley girl thru Face Book.  Will miss you.   So sad to hear of your leaving us.  Be happy now in heaven.

Just don’t really know where to start after hearing of her passing.... I remember many days when you were still living in Rockville and when the park was quiet and no one around we used to talk for hours about everything that was on our mind. When we were back in contact through Facebook we didn’t stop talking until almost midnight on the phone. I will miss you and will keep you always in my heart my friend..... God bless you and know you’re in good hands now. 

Leslie, where do I begin? Tomorrow I will be seeing you and saying my goodbye. Although it won’t be good bye. I know we will see each other again and until then, I will carry you in my heart  and see you through all the memories we’ve had. I will hear you through this music we loved to listen to. I will see you through your beautiful daughters. You will always be with us. My heart is broken. We all just want you back with here with us where you belong. I love you, my little sister. Until we see each other again...💔❤️👭

I remember riding around with Kevin and Jimmy. And Jimmy was in the back seat and he was telling me the names of all his siblings. And I thought he said his youngest sister's name was Lester. And I remember thinking that was so weird.
