Ligia "Lee" Lucio-Van Ess of Cape Coral, Florida & Cedar Grove NJ- passed away on Thursday, April 21st, 2022, in Fort Myers FL after a short illness. Lee is survived by her Husband Robert Van Ess, her Brother John and her Step-Children Nikki and Robbie. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Mr. & Mrs. John Lucio and her Step-Father Antonio Da Fonseca.
Lee loved to travel, took great pride in her cooking skills and could turn any casual chat in to a lively conversation. She loved to laugh and enjoyed the beauty of all things colorful and bold.
Lee and her husband Robert "Bob" Van Ess spent 40 years together and only recently had built and moved into their Cape Coral "Dream House". They shared the home with Sophie (a Toy Poodle) who, after Bob, was the second love of her life.
Lee started a career in the travel industry later join The Sony Entertainment Group. She climbed the corporate ladder and became the Vice President of Sony's travel division. Lee retired from Sony after more than 33 years. She had made close friends at Sony and all over the world.
