Linda Jean Reynolds

Linda was born on November 22, 1948, to Joseph and Clara Reynolds, and grew up in Albany, New York, where she developed the sharp wit, creativity, and mischievous sense of humor that so many came to adore. She later moved to Cape Coral, Florida, when her youngest grandson, Gabe, was born.

Linda is survived by her beloved daughters, Joely (Tom) of Rexford, NY, and Bonnie (Ted) Jackson of Cape Coral, FL. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Gabriel Panetta, Tyler (Mary) Jackson and to Sam and Megan Miller, all of whom brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her sister, Joan (Bob) Richardson and her nieces and nephews—Mike, Kelly, Amy, Robert, and Larry; and her dear lifelong friend, Rick Genualdi, whose companionship meant the world to her.

Linda lived with Bonnie and Ted in Florida, where she shared a warm, playful bond with her grandson Gabe and enjoyed the love and comfort of family. Her cherished cat, Gracie, who was her constant companion, will continue to be cared for by Bonnie and Ted.

A woman of many talents, Linda expressed her creativity through crocheting, watercolor painting, and crafting - activities she delighted in every single day. She had a hilarious, lighthearted spirit and loved a good scare, never turning down a horror movie or a chance to laugh. She also loved to dance to Barry Manilow, filling the house with music and joy whenever her favorite songs played. And in true “Linda” fashion, she left a handmade legacy behind -nearly everyone who loved her proudly owns at least one crocheted Linda afghan, a warm reminder of her creativity and her heart.

Linda’s passing was gentle and peaceful, just as she lived - with grace, warmth, and love for the people around her.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held in Albany, New York in the spring, where family and friends will gather to share stories, laughter, and memories in her honor.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to share in her life.
