Margaret "Peggie" Joan Curran Gerrity

Margaret “Peggie” C. Gerrity, 79, of Del Tura community in Fort Myers, FL passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010 from complications due to a respiratory illness. She was born on February 18, 1931 in New York City, NY to Thomas and Margaret McDonough Curran. Peggie is a parishioner of St. Therese Catholic Church.

She is survived by her loving family including her husband of 55 years, William “Bill” Gerrity; children, Michael Gerrity, Kate and John Travaline and Meg Daly; grandchildren, Tara Lynne, James, Thomas and Devin Travaline and Kasey Marie and Billy Daly; sister, Patricia Dowd of Albany, NY; and brother-in-law, Brother Brendan Gerrity of Narragansett, RI. She is preceded in death by her son, Christopher Gerrity. Peggie was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Visitation will be on Saturday (today) from 4 to 7 p.m. at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, FL.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 5th at St. Therese Catholic Church, 20115 N. Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers, FL. Entombment will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery. Please visit www.coralridgefuneralhome.com to leave expressions of sympathy for her family.
