Maria was one of the kindest, sweetest people I've known.  Her smile would light up the room and the Joy of The Lord was written all over her face.  It was a great blessing to have known Maria!


I'll remember her big beautiful smile! I'll also remember her prayers for my children and I, and how she loved....        She will be missed.
Til we meet again, Come Lord Jesus! 

Tia Nena, We will always hold you close to our hearts just as you did to us in your arms. I’ve always cherished this picture of you and I when I was baby. In my face you can see safety, happiness and love, which you gave warmly and openly to your loved ones, especially your nieces and nephews. As a new mom, I appreciate this picture even more now because I’ve seen that look in my own son and know it’s worth more than gold. I wish he could’ve met you but I will make sure to tell him about his grand-aunt.  Love you Tia Nena. Rest in peace. 

I love the times I met her for coffee and she would make me eggs and cheese, coffee con leche and cuban bread with butter.  We would talk about life and parenting and she was a second mother to me. She will be loved and missed. Heaven is much sweeter. 

Mujer, madre, hermana, tía y abuela maravillosa, llena de amor y un espíritu único. La vida y la distancia nos mantuvo lejos pero cada vez que hablábamos o nos veíamos marcaba con amor y felicidad ese momento te sentias que estabas cerca. Descanse en Paz Tia Nena un abrazo al cielo!

In my last conversation with Maria she showed me the pictures of her family and she showed me her Bible. It was clear what was dear to her. 

When we went to church together, she always had something sweet to say. She gave hugs and compliments. She loved people, church and her Savior. 


Two of my fondest memories of Maria is how much she loved her grandchildren Natalie and James she would refer to them has being Martha’s miracle babies. And when she would make James's sandwich for lunch with chocolate icing. That boy loved her sandwiches but no where near has much as he loved her. My heart hurts for the family but thankful she is with our Lord and is in no pain. And that we will all be together again. 

A mi tía Nena, como la llamábamos cariñosamente, te recuerdo porque siempre andabas sonriente, por la forma q siempre nos trataste, nos permitia hablarte con respeto y confianza,  poder escuchar de esta manera tus consejos, 
Siempre te llevaremos en el.corazon, porque fuiste parte de la generación q influyo en nuestra vida.

Mi querida Nena, siempre fuiste una excelente madre . No cabe duda que Walter y Marta tuvieron la mejor madre. Que descanses en paz mi querida Nena. Consuelo para toda la familia. 

Recordando a tía Nena  decidí buscar en la fotos viejitas me encontré con un par de fotos de hace casi 40 años atrás, una cuando yo tenia 7 meses y otra de paseo por las isletas de granada.
Quien pasó por nuestras vida y dejó luz, resplandecerá en nuestra alma para siempre.
Descanse en paz tía Nena! 

How to  begin , she gave birth to me back in 1969 , full of life and great unknown , here we are now celebrating a woman from early on was seeking the love of God while raising two yet she found him and worked hard to be a servant , now I know she accomplish what she was call for , servant hood and love , humble she is and always will remember her by , God speed , mom I love you

I am so sorry Martha for your loss.  The times I interacted with your mom she was always sweet and sincere. She will be missed. 

A true soldier for the cause of Christ will be missed. A person with such a gentle and loving touch for everyone she met. Only God can fill the void we now have here on earth. May the precious memories of the time we had with her be sealed in our hearts but never forgotten. Till we meet again…,

Mis más sentidas condolencias querida Martha y familia; tan linda persona la Sra. Maria, será recordada con mucho cariño por las personas que tuvimos el gusto de conocerla.

Conocí a María poco después de conocer a Marta en la escuela superior una tarde en su casa. Dulce, serena y con una sonrisa de mil millares.  No tome mucho en encariñarme con ella a pesar de ser firme con la educación y crianza de sus hijos.  En aquellos tiempos todo parecía difícil para nosotras, pues para nuestro inexperto juicio la  vida solo se trataba de ir a la escuela y pasarla bien con los amigos. Sin embargo Ms. Silva con su dulce voz nos conducía por el camino recto a ambas. Siempre emprendedora, luchadora,  trabajadora, maestra, amiga y pacifista. Una mujer que sacrifico sus raíces, su patrimonio y costumbres, por garantizar la libertad, la paz y el progreso de sus hijos, padres , hermanas y familiares. Trabajadora incansable, dando siempre lo mejor de sí con humildad y dignidad, guardado los valores mas intrínsecos de  la humanidad; el respeto al prójimo y el derecho a la vida en equidad. María de los Ángeles fue para mi el vivo ejemplo de una madre, y valiosa mujer que incondicionalmente lo da todo sin esperar nada a cambio. Que al pasar de los años fue recompensado con el infinito amor y cuidado de sus hermosos ángeles terrenales. Sin duda alguna, sé, que ha dejado una profunda y distintiva huella en este breve suspiro que la vida nos presta.

You will be so missed.  Your smile lit up a room.  Heaven will be lit up even more now.  Until we meet again my sweet friend I will cherish your memory 

When I think of Miss Maria I can’t help but smile. Every time we saw her she would greet us with hug and  a smile on her face. She always wanted to make sure our Marissa was loved on and always gave her a kiss on the head. She will be missed and we are so glad we were able to count her as a friend. Love and prayers for the family.

Maria Silva was one of the sweetest and most kind ladies I have ever known. The world is losing a dear saint of God but heaven has gained a daughter.

Maria was my younger brothers mother-in-law, and always made me feel like a movie star whenever we got together ❤️  To quote a verse from a song ..."into every life a little rain must fall, but to lose someone you loved, is like a storm!"... May the Rainbow 🌈  of peace and joy, once again shine over your home.
