She was born July 2, 1922 in Mattoon, IL to Peter and Jenny Bertram. Marian moved from Mattoon to Sanibel Island, FL in 1974 with her husband John. They had 40 wonderful years together before he passed in 1987. Marian retired from being an Adult Educator before moving to Florida. She had been a member of Pine Island United Methodist Church since moving to St. James City in 1982. Her friends at the church were a very strong support group. You definitely could call them true Sisters in Christ. She served in many capacities in her church. Above all she loved her family more than words can describe as well as her Danish heritage. She lived with Jane and Jim for the last year and a half and she always looked forward to whoever was coming to visit. She will be lovingly missed by all.
