Marjorie Ann (Ziehler) Poznanski, 86 of Cape Coral, Florida passed away peacefully at Cape Coral Hospital on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Marjorie was born July 6, 1935 in Manhattan, New York, she moved to Staten Island, NY in 1959 with her husband Joseph Poznanski and lived on Emerson Hill. She moved to Boca Raton, FL in 1995 and later to Cape Coral, FL in 2017.
Prior to her marriage, she worked as a clothing buyer for Sears and Roebuck Co. in New York City, and became a homemaker once married.
While living in Staten Island, she and her husband were members of both the Richmond County Country Club and the Richmond County Yacht Club. She enjoyed playing Canasta and was an exceptionally devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Lacertosa (Donald) of Cape Coral, FL; granddaughter Victoria Fleites (John) of Orlando, FL; grandson Joseph Lacertosa of Estero, FL; and great-granddaughter, Everleigh May Fleites of Orlando, Florida.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents William Ziehler and Ann Fritschy; her husband Joseph Poznanski; and her two sisters AnnMarie Braddock and Ruth Dugan.
An entombment for Marjorie will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021, at 11:00am at Boca Raton Mausoleum for immediate family only.
