Mary "Amma" Catherine Brewer

Mary "Amma" Catherine Brewer, age 65, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Mary was born December 22, 1955 in Dubuque, Iowa to Herman Klinkner and the late Grace Klinkner.

Mary was a successful business owner in Clinton, Iowa and was proud to have established Clinton Janitorial Services, in 1988, from the ground up. Mary and her husband Don lovingly opened their home, taking on the role as foster and adoptive parents. Together they impacted the lives of many children throughout their years serving the community. Mary was also a CASA worker, as well as an educator for new foster parents. She took immense pride as the President of the Foster Care Association, organizing fundraisers and chili dinners. Through her efforts the children were able to participate in activities and events and to obtain necessities they would not normally have.

Mary is survived by her two daughters Rebecca Linville and Kelly Page (Dean); her grandchildren Christopher Petersen, Ciara Linville and Hayley Page; and two honorary daughters Ashley Schwien and Jennifer Schell; and her honorary son Joseph Rickertson; three of her siblings Charles "Chuck" Klinkner (Norma), Christine Voss (Jim) and Angela Kroymann (Steve). She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews to forever cherish her memory.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Donald James Brewer whom she will be laid to rest next to at Coral Ridge Cemetery. She was also preceded in death by two of her siblings Sara Vicks and Dave Klinkner.
