Mary Darlene Watkins, 59, of Cape Coral, FL left us unexpectedly on Monday, February 4, 2013. A devout Christian whose generosity and kindness was recognized by the many lives she touched - family, friends, strangers and animals alike, Mary’s many passions included participating in her church choir, volunteering for the Kiwanis and Cape Coral Hospital, collecting rare dolls, and perhaps most importantly doting on her many grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and whose lives she touched with her kindness, her optimism and her faith.
Mary is survived by her 6 loving children Anna (Duane) Rhynearson, Michael Hobbs, Cora (Larry) Lucas, William Hobbs III, Darlene Hobbs, Naomi (Billy) Holden and 13 cherished grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John.
A visitation will be held Saturday, February 9th at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1630 SW Pine Island Rd. in Cape Coral between the hours of 12 - 2 pm with service and burial to follow.
