Melissa Lee Smith, 45 years old, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 19, 2022 after a brief illness. Melissa is preceded in death by her Father, Robert Birch, Mother, Ilene Birch (Bailly), sister Christine Birch, Maternal Grandparents George & Grace Bailly and Paternal Grandparents Gus & Myrtle Birch. She is survived by her Husband & Soulmate John Smith. Daughter Alyson (Isaiah), Sons John II, Christopher & Devin. Sisters Lisa (Jason), Robin, Brother Raymond. Maternal Uncle, Roger (Patricia) and many nieces and nephews.
Melissa was born in Waterbury, CT on June 4, 1977. Shortly thereafter the family moved to Cape Coral, FL where she resided until passing. She graduated Mariner High School in 1995. In 1999 Melissa married her soulmate John Smith and together had 3 children. Melissa was very crafty and loved to bake, and in her spare time was an avid bowler, a hobby she shared with her family. She was loved by all and will be missed by many. Celebration of Life will be in December.
