

Michael George Kayatta, 92, of Cape Coral, FL passed away on July 11, 2013. He was born on March 29, 1921 in Pawtucket, RI to Moses and Mary Kayatta. He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He was held as a P.O.W. for one year. Mr. Kayatta worked as a Videographer at CBS on many network shows. He moved here in 1988 from Long Island, NY.
He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 68 years, Dorothy (nee: Donovan) Kayatta; children, Michael Kayatta of Cape Coral, Susan (Victor) Toader of Colorado Springs, CO, Patrick (Jessica) Kayatta of Medford, OR; eleven grandchildren, Michael, Kevin, Laurie, Davey, Tommy, Solona, Christian, Kim, Mike, Danny, Erin; four great grandchildren, Kristina, Alynn, Dakota, Shyanne. He is preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Flora Kayatta and his brothers, Peter and Joseph.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral. Funeral Services will be at 11 am on Thursday at the funeral home followed by entombment with Military Honors at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
