Michele Kathleen Demmien, 39, of Lehigh Acres, Florida, passed away suddenly after a very brief illness while in Charleston, South Carolina. Born on May 21, 1987, in Fort Lauderdale, Michele lived a life defined by fierce love, unwavering loyalty, and wholehearted devotion to the people she cherished most.
Michele was an extraordinary woman—an adoring wife, a proud and devoted mother, a beloved daughter, and a steadfast friend. Her family was her world, and she never missed an opportunity to express how deeply proud she was of her children. She loved with intensity, protected with passion, and gave of herself without hesitation. Everything Michele did, she did at 110%, pouring her whole heart into every moment, every hobby, and every relationship.
She found joy in the outdoors and embraced nature in all its forms. Fishing, winter camping, and 4 wheeling were among her favorite adventures, and she relished the peace and freedom they brought. More recently, she discovered a love for gardening—a hobby that quickly became a true talent. Whether tending to plants, exploring the woods, or relaxing on the beach, Michele felt at home under the open sky.
Her love for animals was boundless. She adored her three cats, her dog, and truly every creature she encountered. Michele had a gentle way of connecting with animals, offering them the same warmth and affection she gave so freely to the people in her life.
Despite her energetic spirit and passion for adventure, Michele also valued her quiet moments. She appreciated time to decompress, reflect, and recharge—balancing her vibrant personality with a deep appreciation for stillness.
Michele’s sudden passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family and all who knew her. She will be remembered for her strength, her humor, her compassion, and the fierce, unconditional love she gave so effortlessly.
Michele is survived by her loving husband, Kevin; two adored children, Jacobi and Samantha; her parents, George and Kathy Grantstein; two sisters, Jaclyn and her husband, Dr. Chadwick and Tammy and her husband, Justin; her mother-in-law, Sherry Rankin; father-in-law, Kevin Demmien; sisters-in-law, Nicole and Crystal; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
