Nancy Marie Atwood

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Nancy Marie Atwood, 62, of Cape Coral, Florida, on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at her home. Born August 26, 1962, in Runnemede, New Jersey, Nancy was the beloved daughter of the late Leslie and Doris (Noll) Grant.

Nancy was known far and wide for her warmth, infectious spirit, and unwavering kindness. To know Nancy was to know joy — she was outgoing, fun-loving, and endlessly compassionate. Her love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. She lit up with pride when speaking of her granddaughter, and her loyal pup Dingo was never far from her side.

Deeply patriotic, Nancy was a steadfast supporter of veterans and firefighters, never missing an opportunity to show her gratitude for those who served. Her generous heart reached even further in the small joys of daily life — especially when indulging in her favorite pastime, playing computer games like Farmville.

Nancy's legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched with her humor, care, and boundless love.

She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, David Allan Atwood of Cape Coral, FL; one son, Michael Prickett (Katie) of North Carolina; adored granddaughter, Jade Prickett of North Carolina; several extended family and friends; as well as her beloved dog, DINGO.

She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.

A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held at a later date.
