Pamela “Pam” Anne Kearnes, 75, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in Port Charlotte. Born on October 10, 1950, in Flint, Michigan, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert Crain and Anne (Wall) Crain.
Pam was a woman of remarkable determination, intelligence, and heart. A talented database programmer, she owned and operated her own business in the information technology field for many years. To her customers, colleagues, and employees, she was affectionately known as “PK,” a name that reflected both her professionalism and her warm, approachable nature.
Above all else, Pam was devoted to her family. Her world revolved around her grandchildren and her pets, who brought endless joy and purpose to her life. She never missed a school event, game, performance, or milestone—she was always there, cheering loudly, smiling proudly, and offering unwavering support. Her presence was a constant source of comfort and love.
Pam cherished the simple, meaningful moments: gathering her family around the table for her famous dinners, cooking with care, and savoring the laughter and conversation that filled her home. When her children and grandchildren were young, she created ceramic ornaments with them—small treasures that became lasting symbols of her creativity, patience, and love.
Pam’s legacy is one of devotion, generosity, and steadfast strength. She leaves behind a family deeply shaped by her guidance, her humor, and her boundless affection.
She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
She was preceded in death by her two sons, Robert “Rob” Kearnes in 2015 and Lawrence “Skip” Kearnes III in 2017.
Pam is survived by her loving daughter, Lori Kearnes (Albert Jakubec, Jr.); sister, Dawn Zacharias; daughter-in-law, Angela Kearnes; nine grandchildren, Casey, Brooke (Brad), Melinda (Brad), Sami (Khris), DJ, Katie, Zack, Kevin and Kaila; three great grandchildren, Mila, Ryot and Wylder; as well as many extended family members and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held 12:30 PM, Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 950 Chiquita Boulevard S., Cape Coral, FL 33991. Burial will follow in the Masonic Garden of Coral Ridge Memorial Park & Cremation Gardens, Cape Coral, FL.
