After serving his draft in the US Army, he began a life-long career with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad as a Senior Computer Analyst.
He always looked for the good in a person. He was always willing to volunteer for help whenever it was needed and never sought any recognition in return.
When he found a purse or wallet, he would return it to its owner in the same way he found it.
If he saw trash on his path on the street, he would put it in a garbage can.
He was a model railroader, liked to read, and spend winters in Florida.
He especially enjoyed being a member of the Knights of Columbus and always maintained a rock-solid faith in his religion.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rosa, and two loving daughters, Robin and Rhonda; three adored grandsons, Mitchell, Nathaniel, and Connor; his sister Rita and brothers John Peter and AB Bart Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Marjorie and Arthur Bartholomew, and brother Harry.
