Peter D. Ruffalo Sr.

Peter D. Ruffalo, Sr., 71, of N. Ft. Myers passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the Hope Hospice House. Mr. Ruffalo was born in Kenosha, WI to the late Virginia (Conforti) and Albert of Ocala, FL. He graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1960 and received a drafting degree after attending Chicago Institute of Technology. During his engineering career he received seven US patents. In 1985 he moved to SW Florida and in 2003, he married Jayleen (Schaaff).

He is survived by his beloved wife Jayleen; father Albert, Sr. of Ocala, FL; son Peter, Jr. of Demorest, GA; 2 daughters Susan and DeAnna Cross; 2 step daughters Jennifer (Andy) Harden of Naples, FL and Jacqueline (A.D.) Diaz; 6 grandchildren Peter, III and Nathan of Baraboo WI, Jessica Cross and Sean Cross, Sam Purnell, IV and Sophia Purnell; great granddaughter Trinity Kuknyo of Demorest, GA; 2 brothers Albert, Jr. of Cedar Rapids, IA and Dominic of Kenosha, WI, (half) sister Gabriella and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Tina.

A memorial service will held at 11am on Saturday, February 8th at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery. The family will greet friends and loved ones at 10am. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, 2430 Diplomat Pkwy., Cape Coral, FL 33909.
