Phyllis was born on January 18, 1937 in Tuscola county, Michigan, to Ruth Bentley McClellan and Louis Alvin McClellan. She graduated from Ann Arbor High School in June of 1955, after marrying Joel Shelton (d. Nov 1994) in April of 1955.
Phyllis's daughter was born Oct.,22, 1956, while they lived in Ann Arbor Michigan; where she worked as a dental hygienist and practice manager for 25 years.
Phyllis has served her local Cape Coral & Fort Meyers community for the past 30 years as a realtor, real estate broker, and member of her local rotary club.
Phyllis was an independent, well read, strong minded, and caring individual. Her presence will be missed by all those in the community who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Anne-Shelton Martinez, son-in-law Ramon Martinez, granddaughter Christina Wood, grandson-in-law Brian Wood, grandson Captain Miguel T Martinez U.S.
Army, and great grandchildren Josh, Gavin, Natalie, and Emily Wood.
