

MgySgt USMC Ralph M. Ciccarelli Sr., 84, of Cape Coral, Florida, joined his loved ones in heaven on January 22, 2024. He was born on May 19, 1939 in Staten Island, New York to Elenore Hagen and Ernest Ciccarelli.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 50 years, Roberta Ciccarelli along with five children, their spouses, 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Ralph Jr. is the eldest son, who has two sons, Josh and his wife Alyssa along with their two children, Cerise and Lucas, and the youngest son, Daniel. Todd is the next eldest son, who, along with his wife Dolly, have two children, their daughter Alexandra with her husband Anthony and their child TK, and their son Cole and his fiancé Emily. Cyndy is the only daughter, who along with her husband Jan have three children, Laci, Benjamin, and Rutger. The next eldest son is Jay, who along with his wife Annette have three children, Nellie, Luca, and Emmy. The youngest son is Derik who has a son, Brennan.
Ralph served his community and country as a law enforcement officer and as a United States Marine in active and reserve duty. Most of his distinguished military career, which spanned 38+ years, was as a recruiter for the United States Marine Corps. His medals included the Navy Commendation, Navy Unit Commendation, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement, Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service, Meritorious Service, Armed Forces Reserve, Gulf War / Operation Desert Storm, Kuwait Liberation, Meritorious Mast, Good Conduct, Expert Pistol, Expert Rifle marksmanship along with numerous ribbons.
Ralph was a natural history and military history enthusiast as well as a connoisseur of fine art. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting for arrowheads, hiking, and riding motorcycles. He loved antique automobiles and attending car shows. Ralph loved to watch sports, which included his favorite NFL team, the Miami Dolphins, as well as college football, boxing, and mixed martial arts. In addition to his military service, Ralph enjoyed target shooting and teaching all his children how to safely handle firearms and improve their marksmanship.
Ralph loved the Marine Corps. First and foremost, he was a Marine, but he also loved his family. He did everything to provide for his family and keep them safe. He loved God and his country. He will be missed by his many friends and colleagues but mostly he will be missed by his wife, children, and family. He was the most positive person on the planet, never met a stranger, and touched hundreds of lives. Ralph was a life-long learner and enjoyed exploring the intricacies of arts and music.
Visitation for Ralph will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 11-12pm, with the service beginning at 12pm at Coral Ridge Funeral Home; 950 Chiquita Blvd S., Cape Coral, FL 33991. A Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will follow the service at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
