Ralph "Sonny" Venezzio

Ralph “Sonny” Venezzio, Jr. 80 of Cape Coral, FL passed away at his home on Monday, September 6, 2010 surrounded by his family. He was born on March 16, 1930 in Newark, NJ. Ralph worked as a Longshoreman for over 45 years out of Port Elizabeth, NJ where he was a “Gang Boss”. He was a member of ILA Local 1235. He enjoyed chauffeuring his wife to garage sales. He loved cooking and spending time with his family and was an avid NY Yankee and NY Giant fan.

He is survived by his loving family including his wife, Marilyn Venezzio; daughter, Mary Jean (Dago) Orozco; step-children, Jeffery (Heidi) Wilcke, Cindy (Gregg) Harms, Kevin (Kristi) Wilcke; grandchildren, Maria and Steven Orozco, Ryan, Brice, Logan and Brandon Wilcke, Tyler and Brody Harms; sister, Mary Ann Pezzano; sister in law, Jackie (Robert) Eden; and nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends. He will be missed by all that knew him. Ralph is predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Mary Venezzio, sisters, Elsie Hoover and Irene Illan, and his first wife, Fay Venezzio who passed away in 1990.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral.
