Mr. Ramon Padron

We are sad to announce the passing of Ramon Padron (Mongo) 89 yrs old, he passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's on April 18th, 2023. He was born on August 31,1933 in Matanzas, Cuba to Martin Padron and Ramona Leon where he grew up with his siblings, Cira, Minina, Martin, Juana, Ana Maria, Ana Luisa, Oscar and Emilia.

On December 21,1962 he married his longtime sweetheart Hilda Lozano. Ramon was a soldier in the Cuban Army where he fought against the communist regime and on October 31,1969 he flew with his wife and 6 yr old daughter and 5 month son on one of the Freedom Flights to the United States where he would provide his family a better life. They resided in West New York, NJ for over 25 yrs, Miami and finally Cape Coral, Florida.

Ramon was a loving and devoted grandfather. He was loved by everyone who knew him, he lit up a room with his smile. He is survived by his wife (Hilda) daughter(Hilda) Son (Ray) and his grandkids (Michael, Danielle, Viviana and Gavin)

A visitation for Ramon will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Coral Ridge Funeral Home & Cemetery, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33991, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM.
