Born May 11, 1927 in Saginaw, MI, Bob was the son of the late Emanuel and Rose Costa. Bob graduated from Saints Peter and Paul High School in Saginaw, MI and Central Michigan University. He joined the US Army in 1950 and was stationed at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. Bob was a Sales Manager for PPG Industries, Inc. and managed retail locations in Lansing MI, Bay City MI, and Detroit, MI. Upon retirement he relocated to Vero Beach FL. His greatest joy was watching and discussing his beloved Detroit Tigers.
He is survived by his nieces, Susan Gansen of Lakewood Ranch, FL, and Peggy Kalafut of Midland, MI, and his nephews, Peter Costa of Germfast, MI, and Michael Costa of Boyne City, MI. He was preceded in death by his siblings, John Costa, and Rose-Mildred Costa, and his partner of many years Gerald HIllert.
In accordance to his wishes, he was cremated and a memorial mass will be held January 31st at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 500 Iris Lane, Vero Beach at 10am.
