Robert Foote, 87, of Cape Coral, FL passed into Eternity, Wednesday, September 16, 2026. He was born in Staunton, VA, May 8, 1939, and spent his younger years in Charles Town, WV, before moving to Harrisonburg, VA. Although born in 1939, he claims the birthday of who he was happened on Sunday, October 4, 1970, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Bluefield, WV, during a Lay Witness Mission. That was the day he was accepted into the family of God and was forever changed. He became a new creation in Christ on that glorious day when God filled his heart with his inexplicable love.
He is survived by his wife, Kay, daughters and their husbands, Kathy and Kevin Zozula and Kelly and Chris Wetzel, grandchildren, Bethany Zozula, Hilary Zozula Eckels, Greta Zozula Cooper, Michelle Shiflet, Michael Hardt, and Rachel Daily and 16 great-grandchildren.
If you don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, it is Bob’s hope that you will consider giving him your heart as he did back in 1970. If you don’t know how to find the peace and joy God wants to give you, talk to a Christian friend or a pastor. You, too, will have reason to rejoice and be glad for your life will be transformed in marvelous and unexpected ways too wonderful to imagine or dream of. May God bless each of you reading this with His overflowing love for you and the comfort He alone can give.
In honor of his wishes, there will be no service other than a family celebration remembering his life and rejoicing in his graduation day.
