Robert Goldstein

January 30, 1944April 4, 2021

Robert Goldstein, 77, of Cape Coral entered into eternal rest Sunday, April 4, 2021.

Bob was a resident of Cape Coral, FL. He moved to Florida from NJ. It was in NJ where he and wife Loretta Goldstein (Milone) raised their three children. Born in Passaic, NJ, he was the son of Eva and Morris. It was in Garfield, as young children, where he met the love of his life Loretta and married. After a few years together they moved to Saddle Brook, NJ. They were married for 54 years.

He proudly served his country as a member of the Air Force. He worked for many years at Hoffman LaRoche Pharmaceuticals as a Production Planner and was extremely involved in Saddle Brook for many years supporting the local programs his children participated in, being on the Little League board, and also on the township Zoning Board. He loved to travel with his family and to create memories for them to cherish. Many times you would see Bob sitting with that little grin on his face as he watched his family enjoy the time together. At times very stoic, but you could not measure his heart. There is nothing he would not do for his family and nothing was more important to him than that. He was a proud grandfather, affectionately called “Pop-Pop” to 6 grandchildren. He was the proudest one at every game, school event, or anything else his grandchildren did and supported them in every way possible. He was the true essence of the patriarch of the family and will be missed tremendously.

Bob is survived by his wife Loretta Goldstein; daughter Karen and husband Manny; son Robert Jr, his son Kevin and wife Theresa, and grandchildren Adam, Jeffrey, Kevin II, Dominick, Nicholas, and Matthew. Predeceased by his parents Eva and Morris. Cherished brother of Vivian, Gwen, the late Maxine and the late Joseph.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, April 8th at Coral Ridge Funeral Home in Cape Coral from 2 - 4pm followed by a funeral service with entombment.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital at, in honor of Robert Goldstein.

My deepest condolences to the Goldstein family. I am so saddened to hear of the passing of my friend of many years. We worked at Roche and went to lunch everyday and once we moved to Parsippany we went for coffee every morning. He was a constant at work and formed a close friendship. He always talked proudly about his wife, children and grandkids. He was a true gentleman and will be greatly missed.

Don’t know if you remember me but my husband Tom Bacigalupo, from M&T Press played softball together in Saddle Brook. Had after game parties at Richie and Toni Christiano’s house. Year we won the championship Bobby wasn’t coming over to celebrate fast enough. A few of the guys came down to your house and picked him up lawn chair and all bringing him to the party! So many wonderful memories. My prayers are with you and your family.🙏🙏
