It is with sadness that I learn of Bobby's passing.  Bobby and I spent many happy days as kids in Alexandria, Virginia.  I remember spending the night at Bobby's home with his Mom and Sister and the gang that played together that included Leon Jewell, Charlie Pettit, Larry Bolton, and I spending many summer days at the Alexandria Boys Club.  Linda and I last visited Bobby and wife at their home off of Duke Street while on leave from the Air Force.  I am happy to see that Bobby ended his life with a large and devoted family.  Rest in Peace, Bobby.  Your friend, Bobby Rasmussen in 2021.

Lived next door to Bob and Doris in the early 60s. I remember his children when they were toddlers. We couldn't ask for better neighbors. Bob and Doris were just wonderful. They were there if we needed anything.  Bob was a good man . I know he's in a better place .  My heart goes out to Doris, Renee, and Steve.

Worked with Bob at the Naval Communications Station in Cheltenham, Maryland and later at Reuters in D.C.  His work ethic was an inspiration to me and consider him a valued friend.  He called me in February and we enjoyed discussing the old days.  A great overall person who will be missed.  My prayers to Doris and the family.

So many memories of Uncle Bobby....I spent many a day at their house playing with Juanita, Steve, Jody and Renee. Growing up we were all together a lot with our parents always visiting each other. 

You were loved by so many and will be sorely missed.

I know Dad is happy to see you as is the rest of your family.

My heart goes out to all of you, especially Doris.  It is hard to find words to express what a wonderful man Robert was.  He was so dedicated to his family and also his friends.  He always had a smile on his face and always ready to help others.   I know he is in God's arms now and is looking down on us with that beautiful smile.  May he rest in peace and may God give his family peace for losing a wonderful father, husband, grandfather and great grandfather.  You were loved so very much Bobbie and you will never be forgotten!!!!!!!!

 

Bob, thank you for all the kindness you showed to me.  I will always remember how good you were to me. I'll do my best to carry it forward.

Robert Richard Ramos is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Doris Alicia Ramos; son Steven Anthony Ramos and daughter Renee Angell Ramos-Redden;10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Juanita Louise Byerly and son Jody Micheal Ramos.
