Rosalie Berlin made her final journey to the Lord on Friday, March 25, 2016. Her life on earth began on April 30, 1925 with her parents Salvatore Gambino and Amelia Tessitore and her older siblings Mary and Joseph.
The family all predeceased her, as did her husband, Howard Berlin. Rosalie is survived by her children, Raymond (Gail), Steven (Nanci), and Barbara Kociuba (George), grandchildren: Deborah (Robert) Weaver,
Jennifer (Kenneth) Goldin, Thomas Berlin, Kathryn (James) Ciarmella, Steven (Sandy) Berlin, Valerie (David) Marshall, Danielle (Alan Trottier) Kociuba, and Brittany Kociuba, her great-grandchildren: Nicole Weaver,
Paul Goldin, Stella Berlin, Dominic Ciarmella, Devin Ciarmella, Daxton Ciarmella, Johnathan Berlin, Leah Berlin and Joshua Mars. There are her nephews and nieces: Charles (Susan) Gambino, Robert (Sandy) Gambino,
Edwin Berlin, Dale du Bois and Dawn (Mickey) Burke and their children and grandchildren. Her family brought great joy and smiles to her life. They were all her "dollies".
Rosalie was involved in community activities. Her passion was in transportation for seniors and the disabled. She served on the Board of Directors for Goodwheels.
She was a charter member of the Lee County Multiple Sclerosis Society. Her official title with the group was the "Sunshine Lady". Rosalie would call and visit members of the group when they were ill and always sang
"Happy Birthday" to them.
She sat on committees for the planning of the Lake Kennedy Senior Center and often attended events at the center.
She remained active in body and mind by attending yoga for MS patients at the Lee Memorial Wellness Center and by attending St. Andrew Catholic Church regularly and faithfully.
Rosalie will be missed by many.
