

Rosalie Yvonne Mazurkiewicz, May 18, 1932 – September 26, 2017, passed from this life to be with her Heavenly Father September 26th surrounded by her family and at complete peace with her Lord. Rosalie was born in Taftville, Connecticut to her parents William and Yvonne Smith and moved to Cape Coral with her family in 1968. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, Joseph Sr, three children: Joseph, Jr (Heather); Gail Fagan (Greg); Linda Wendt (William); nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; two sisters: Jeannette Riley; Doreen Dugas (Don); and many relatives and friends in the community.
Rosalie was a devout Catholic and the spiritual leader of her family. She would spend hours each day in prayer for all of them. She was a strong, loving, caring soul who found great joy in being with her family. She was extremely proud of the success of her children, all her grandchildren, and completely enjoyed all the special moments she was able to spend with her great grandchildren.
She was a three time cancer survivor who fought her four year battle with the disease with the grace and wisdom of a person of great faith and character right up until her final breath.
Her impact on the community will be felt through the efforts of her family who will be forever grateful for her prayers and guidance. She will be greatly missed by everyone, whose path she has crossed and lives she has blessed.
Visitation will be from 4 – 8 pm on Sunday, October 1st at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Monday, October 2, 2017 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral. Entombment will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
