Ruth Eileen Mitchell

She is survived by daughters, Judi Mitchell-Smith, Nita Spatola (Tom), William Mitchell (Cher), Jeffrey Mitchell (Debi), 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by two loving husbands, George William Oliver (KIA WWII), Charles Robert Mitchell (died 1996).

Among the places Ruth lived were Columbus, Ohio, St. Petersburg, Port Charlotte, Cape Coral, Florida. Ruth was a kindergarten teacher and college registrar. She was a member of Zonta International, Beta Sigma Phi sorority, Red Hat group, and Christ Lutheran Church.

Spending time with family and friends was important to her. Ruth enjoyed being the matriarch of her family.

The service to celebrate Ruth’s life will be held at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1630 SW Pine Island Rd. Cape Coral, on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM with luncheon to follow.
