Sharon Ann Emory

Sharon Ann Emory, 72, passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 23, 2019. Sharon was born in Norfolk, VA on November 19, 1946 to the late Wyatt Floyd Minyard and Mildred Ferrell Curtis. She grew up in the local area and was a resident of Virginia Beach until her recent move to Cape Coral, FL to be closer to her daughter. She graduated from Granby High School and after high school went to work for Naval Air Federal Credit Union where she excelled and worked until leaving to become the CEO of Tidewater Telephone Credit Union where she worked until retirement. She was a very active member of the credit union movement and volunteered her time at both the local and state level. Sharon was also an active member of Woodland Heights Baptist church. She volunteered regularly on various projects for her community.

Sharon was preceded in death by her late husband, William A. Emory, Jr., her brother David Louis Minyard and nephew Levi Paul Minyard.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacy M. Snukis; her late husband’s children Dawn Emory, Allen Emory and Linda Emory; two grandsons, Logan T. Snukis and Drake Emory and one niece, Christi Farrar.

The family will have a private service.
