Thelma Moritz, 92, of Cape Coral, FL, a resident since 1996 and formerly of Hamilton Township, Mercer County, NJ, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on February 12, 1934 in Trenton, NJ to Najie and Nellie Latoof.
Thelma was a music teacher in several schools in Mercer County and retired as an executive assistant to the president of NJ Credit Union League. She then bought a home and moved to Cape Coral, FL with her late husband Edward Moritz (who shared her exact birthday and year). Thelma is survived by two sons, Edward N Moritz of Beach Haven, NJ and Charles F (Grace Wong) Moritz; 2 grandchildren, Erik (Alex) Moritz of Yardley, PA and Lauren (Mike Curtis) Leigh Moritz of Beach Haven, NJ; numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends.
An inurnment will be held at 11am on Tuesday, July 14th at Coral Ridge Cemetery, 950 Chiquita Blvd S, Cape Coral, FL 33991.
