Victor Manuel Reyes, 80, of Cape Coral, FL passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. He was born on November 2, 1932 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico to Hilario and Ulpiana Cruz Reyes. Victor was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army. He moved to Cape Coral 18 years ago from New Jersey. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Fort Myers where he served as a Deacon and volunteered at the Church’s Food Pantry.
Victor is survived by his loving family including his wife of 57 years, Aida Garcia Reyes; two daughters, Nancy Fernin of Cape Coral and Wendy Fernin of Naples; three grandchildren, Bobby, Victor, and Becky. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Melissa.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm on Sunday, June 16th at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Road, Cape Coral. Funeral services will be celebrated at 11am on Monday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors provided by the V.F.W. Post 8463, will follow the services.
In lieu of flowers,the family requests memorial donations in his memory be made to Hope Hospice.
