Was so sorry to hear of Walt’s passing. I knew Walt when I was child, living in Columbus, Ohio in the same neighborhood as The Conti family. What a wonderful family they were. Always made me feel welcome and if I were a part of their family.  Heaven has gained a terrific soul.

My deepest condolences to the Conti family and loved ones. I was a neighbor of the Conti's back in our high school time when we all lived in Sharon Woods in Columbus, OH. I went to HS with Linda, Merri Jo and Walt. I have fond memories of hanging out during that time. So sad to have lost all three of them way too soon.

I am Walt's coworker, friend, and Gino's rescuer who Walt kindly helped me find a home for with his sister Jo and brother-in-law Mike.  The last time I saw Walt at work in May, he gave me the awful news that Jo had passed away a few weeks before and I was heartbroken.  And now we lose Walt.  Words cannot express how sad I am, especially for his beloved family and dogs.  He told me about his family all of the time, and with Jo sending me text updates on Gino, you all felt like family.  My last texts from Jo and Walt were about a sick dog found at work and Walt was working with a rescue to help him.  They both had big hearts, you could tell they were related. 

My sincere and deepest sympathies during this very difficult time.

I knew Walt as he was my neighbor on Peach Ave here in Memphis and anytime I would see him outside on one of my daily walks he would  say hello and be so pleasant. We often talked for a few minutes, mostly about current events but he would always mention his family and speak to how they were doing and you could see how much he appreciated and loved his family.  All of his neighbors here on Peach Ave will miss him and offer our thoughts and prayers to the family.

I knew Walt for many of the years he worked at Buckman, and he was legendary in the chemistry lab.  He was always upbeat with a ready smile and a can do attitude.  He will be missed by many at Buckman whose lives he touched.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.  May he rest in peace.

I am thankful that I was able to cross paths with Walt at Buckman.  He was always so pleasant to be around and seemed to always have a positive attitude.  He will be missed by many but never forgotten.  Prayers, love, and hugs to his family during this difficult time of loss.

Walt was truly a remarkable individual and truly cared about others. When I joined Buckman, even though we didn't work together, he offered encouragement and support, especially during my initial years as a chemist fresh out of college.
We often shared conversations, discovering common interests. Our bond even extended to friendly foot and bike race challenges whenever we crossed paths in the hallways. I would playfully declare my intent to train hard to match his level.  Sometimes I would encounter him while I’m cycling and he would be walking his dogs, and I'd jest about training to beat him in our next race. His laughter echoed his good-natured spirit.
Walt was truly one of a kind and remains one of my favorite people in Memphis. His absence will be deeply felt, and my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. May he rest in peace.

I worked with Walt all his years at Buckman and he was my
"go to" person with customer requests and questions. He was
always willing to help or guide me in the right direction. 
He will definitely be missed. My prayers are will his family.

I worked with Walt at Buckman for my 13 years there. He was always upbeat, smiling, and encouraging. I always looked forward to seeing Walt and working on projects with him. I am thankful to have had time with him. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

I worked at Buckman with Walt for all his 31+ years, as I was here 8 years before he started. He and I considered ourselves "old-timers" who had lots of stories of "the old days".  Walt was an easy person to like. He always had a smile on his face and a friendly word. I admired his dedication to his job, his love for his family, and his kindness to others. Walt will greatly be missed. I pray for comfort and peace for his family during this time of  sorrow.

I worked with Walt at Buckman for many, many years. We had so many conversations over the years about our kids growing up, milestones and whatever events going on in their lives at the moment.  We shared many funny stories about our 4-legged "kids", too. He had such a big heart for his babies! We will miss his kind spirit and love for life - many hugs and prayers to to his family and friends!!

Walt and I worked together at Buckman for many years. He brought an exceptional blend of passion, dedication, and expertise to our workplace along with his unmatched kindness to everyone he would come across in the hallways. Always an uplifting spirit with positivity and a bright smile as he genuinely cared for everyone around him. One of the best formulators that I have ever had the privilege to work within the industry and his talents will be missed in the paint and coatings world.
Walt certainly loved his two boys along with “doggos” (as he referred) and enjoyed their eventful walks as they chased squirrels.

You will be profoundly missed and forever remembered. Rest in peace my friend! Prayers go out to the family.

I worked with Walt in Memphis for several years and he was a joy to know.  His expertise in the lab and his knowledge of chemistry was outstanding and a great asset to the company.  His devotion to his fur babies revealed his loving character and we are all blessed to have shared just a part of his life.  We will miss you, Walt!!!   I will be praying for the family in the days to come.
