Wayne David Oder, son of the late Euhel and Hazel Oder, was born in Flat River, Missouri, on October 3, 1944. After graduating from Flat River High School in 1962, he attended college at Linn Technical Institute, in Linn, Missouri. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the US Army. On November 30, 1968, he married Kyllene Nan McClintock of Farmington, Missouri. During his time in the military, Wayne and Kyllene lived in Missouri, California, and Ohio. After Wayne completed his military service, the couple moved to Peoria, Illinois, where they raised a happy family, and were active members of the community. Wayne enjoyed a distinguished 30-year career as an engineer at Caterpillar, Inc. before retiring to Cape Coral, Florida, in 2002. Wayne will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a generous friend, and an avid fisherman. Wayne was preceded in death in 2007 by his wife, Kyllene. He is survived by his two sons, Troy Oder (Kim), of Elmhurst, Illinois, and Aaron Oder, of Delray Beach, Florida; grandsons Ethan and Cameron Oder; brother Phil Oder of Park Hills, Missouri; and sister Mary Ann Baker, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held on Monday, December 12th between 4 and 6 p.m. , at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral.
