He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Dallas Childress and his mother Alice Nuckols Childress and his sister Barbara Childress Yancey. He is survived by his wife Lilie Adams Childress, his sons William Thomas Childress (Martha) of Mechanicsville, Va. David Alan Childress (Theresa), Alan Christopher Childress, Michael Stephen Leadbetter of Cape Coral, FL and daughter Michelle Lee Leadbetter of Cape Coral FL, his brother Michael A Childress (Patricia) of New Port Richey FL and he had 5 grandchildren.
The family will welcome friends at the Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 950 Chiquita Blvd S, Cape Coral, FL 33991 July 27th from 11 - 12pm with the memorial service to follow.
