William Karl Vetter, 96 of Cape Coral, FL passed away on December 9, 2013. He was born on March 10, 1917 to Emil and Caroline Doll Vetter in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Maritime Service. He moved to Cape Coral from Hinckley, Ohio in 1979. Mr. Vetter was a member of the First Baptist Church, Cape Coral and the Sportsman Yacht and Sailing Club.
He is survived by his loving family including his children, William (Bonnie) Vetter, Walter Vetter, Lillian (Stanley) Herron, Warren (Charlotte) Vetter; ten grandchildren, Robert (Jane) Vetter, Shelley (Monty) Reid, Adam (Linda) Vetter, Jason Vetter, Tiffany (Josh) Zellner, Joyce (Wolf) Kruger, Richard (Missy) Imars, Cassie (Adam) Garn, Seth Vetter, Andrew Herron; 22 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter. He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Gladys and granddaughter, Dawn Hrdlicka.
Funeral Services will be at 11 am on Friday at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, with burial to follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 am. Please visit www.coralridgefuneralhome.com to leave thoughts and memories for his family.
