Our deepest sympathy goes out to Deans family. We have had heavy hearts upon hearing of his passing. After being teammates with Dean for so many years the things that stand out most in my mind were his loyalty as a teammate and his friendship off the ice. We will remember him with fondness for the many good years that we shared together.

Dean and I were teammates for three years starting when we were both 15 year olds in Lethbridge for 2 seasons with the Midget Elks and lastly with the 1981 Taber Golden Suns and that magical run to the AJHL finals. Like so many of us we went our separate ways but thanks to the internet we were able to reconnect a few years ago. Dean and I would relive of memories and share stories of those days and discuss how much things have changed with hockey since our playing days and I will miss those discussions. Dean I am proud to have had you as a friend and teammate but most of all you will always be my brother. REST IN PEACE.

To Dean's family my Deepest Deepest Condolences on the loss of a Son, Brother, Uncle and Father. Be proud and let us hold Dean in our hearts forever.

My sincere condolences to the entire Mcarthur family in the passing of Dean. Dean and I were linemates many years ago in Taber with the Golden Suns. He was a strong, tough young man who was a pretty good hockey player. RIP Dean. You will be missed.
