Becky Ann Rubush

Becky Ann (Thompson) Rubush, 78, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026. Becky was born on August 4, 1948, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Becky was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Alan Rubush, and her parents, Norman Thompson and Patricia (McLaughlin) Thompson.

She is survived by her loving children, Christopher Todd Rubush of Bloomington, Indiana, Tiffany Michelle Rubush of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Tara Marisa Washington of Carmel, Indiana. She also leaves behind her son-in-law, Christopher Lee Washington, and her cherished grandsons, Jaxson Lee Washington and Bodhi Lee Washington, who brought immense joy and pride to her life.

Becky is also survived by her siblings, Mike Thompson, Debbie Donoghue, Kevin Thompson, Tim Thompson, and Katrina Reed, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

A devoted Registered Nurse, Becky dedicated her career to caring for others, especially newborn babies. She found great purpose and fulfillment in helping families welcome their newest members into the world and was deeply respected for her compassion, kindness, and gentle nature.

Throughout her life, Becky treasured the friendships she formed through St. Vincent School of Nursing and especially enjoyed spending time and taking vacations with her nursing school friends. She loved creating memories with her daughters through winery visits and travel adventures, cheering on the Indianapolis Colts with her son, and spending precious time with her grandsons. Becky was happiest sitting outside, enjoying nature, and appreciating the simple beauty of the world around her.

Becky will be remembered for her caring heart, unwavering devotion to her family and friends, and the countless lives she touched through her nursing career. Her warmth, compassion, and loving spirit will be deeply missed but forever cherished by those who knew and loved her.

A Memorial Mass will take place Friday, November 13th, 2026 at 11AM at SS. Francis and Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 5901 W. Olive Branch Rd., Greenwood, IN 46143. Inurnment will follow.
