Bryan M. Orr, 51, resident of Carmel, Indiana passed away, February 28, 2021. Bryan was diagnosed with ALS in 2014, facing the disease with humor, humility, integrity and truly leaving us all better.

Bryan’s family will forever carry on his legacy, laughter, and love of the Indiana Hoosiers. His wife Dawn (Dreyer) Orr; two daughters, Paige and Morgan Orr- all fellow Hoosiers- have established The Bryan M. Orr- IU Kelley School of Business Scholarship- to honor Bryan’s passion for learning.

Bryan was a 1987 graduate of Zionsville High School and 1991 Indiana University Kelley School of Business graduate. He was awarded his designation as a Certified Public Accountant in 1996.

Bryan earned a robust and fulfilling career as Vice President of Finance for Kratos Defense. He was highly admired for his keen intellect and collaborative nature. He continued to balance his demanding career and his health obstacles, finding new ways to do his best work despite his physical challenges. He worked until August of 2020 when he gracefully resigned.

Bryan leaves behind his Father, Steve (Marcia) Orr. Mother, Sandra Orr. Brother, Chris (Jennifer) Orr; nephews, Noah and Lucas Orr. In Laws, Terry and Pam Ryker.

A public visitation will take place at Cathedral High School (5225 E. 56th Street Indianapolis, IN 46226) on Sunday, March 14 from 4:00 – 6:30 P.M. with a brief service 6:00 - 6:30 P.M.

An invitation only Memorial Mass will take place at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (5692 Central Avenue Indianapolis, IN 46220) on Monday, March 15 beginning at 11:00 A.M. *The funeral ceremony can be viewed via livestream for those who are unable to attend in person*

An invitation only luncheon celebrating the life and love of Bryan Orr will be held at The Hotel Carmichael (1 Carmichael Square Carmel, IN 46032) on Monday, March 15 at 1:00 P.M.

*Please note: All events will adhere to Indiana State Department of Health guidelines for safety and protection against the spread of COVID-19. - All attendees will be required to wear masks at all times (masks will be provided at each venue). Each event will include attendants at the entrances to check the forehead temperature of all individuals as they enter the venue. -We ask that if you are experiencing any symptoms of illness or have reason to believe you have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus you refrain from attending these events. - Social distancing will be encouraged and each event will accommodate adequate spacing to protect attendees.

Bryan was delightful to be around with his humor and relaxed demeanor. We loved sharing weekends with Bryan , Dawn and the girls at Sweetwater Lake with lots of boating, swimming, tubing and great meals with Bryan at the grill. Wonderful memories of fun times.
