

Darlene was born June 2, 1945 in Kentucky to Orville Lamb and Helen Mallory and grew up in Noblesville, Indiana. She has been a resident of Carmel, Indiana for most of her adult life.
Darlene touched many lives over the years. She worked at the Carmel American Legion Post #155 for more than 45 years and became a beloved member of the community. Affectionately known as “Mom,” she is leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.
Darlene is survived by her sons, Donald Thomas and Curtis Thomas; her stepsons, John LaMar, Greg (Chris) LaMar, and Eric (Tami) LaMar; her twin granddaughters, Kendra and Kylie Thomas; 17 step-grandchildren; and 25 step-great-grandchildren. She also leaves many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Ruth Ann Bottoms; her brother, Bobby Lamb; her husband, Larry LaMar; her stepdaughter, Sandy Rush, and her stepson, Mark LaMar.
Darlene’s legacy of love and devotion to family, friends, and veterans will be remembered by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
