Deloris was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She found great happiness in baking, working puzzles, playing euchre with friends, and tending to her flower gardens.
Deloris dedicated 30 years of service to Carmel Clay Schools before retiring. She took pride in her work and the many relationships she built throughout her career.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Jones; and her son, David A. Jones.
Deloris is survived by her children, Richard L. Jones, Jr. (Lisa) and Cynthia A. Ransford (Jim); her sister, Donna Jones; and her brother-in-law, George Jones. She was the proud grandmother of Jennifer, Matthew (Marti), April (Fernando), Beth (Jeremy), Lynn (Sean), Jeremy (Sarah), Leeanne (Duane), Joshua (Heidi), Stephanie, and Dustin. She was also blessed with 17 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:30 p.m. at Leppert Mortuary – Carmel Chapel, 900 N. Rangeline Rd., Carmel, Indiana. Burial to follow at Carmel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hamilton County Humane Society.
