Katherine Patricia Miller (Barr), of Noblesville, passed away on April 1, 2021. Katherine demonstrated true dignity and grace through a lengthy illness, always remaining positive and hopeful.

Katherine was born in Akron, Ohio on October 11, 1942 to the late James Robert and Margaret Sharon (Miller) Barr. She graduated from St. Vincent High School in 1960 and from Akron University in 1970 after marrying the love of her life, the late Charles L. Miller. Together they raised and are survived by three children Michele (Mike), Craig (Brenda), and Sharon. Katherine is also survived by four grandchildren (Danielle, Logan, Charles, and Austin) and seven siblings (Jim, Denny, Gerri Loog, Mary, Tom, Mike, Vince.) Siblings Charlie, Sharon Guevin, and Ralph predeceased her. Elegant and unassuming, Katherine was talented and resourceful, from sewing clothes for family, friends, and even Barbie and Ken dolls to replacing the garbage disposal. As her children approached high school, she went to work at the IRS, took accounting classes, earned promotion to revenue agent, and retired in 2005. Everyone who knew Katherine loved her. She was beautiful, intelligent, thoughtful, responsible, generous, selfless, and possessed an uncommon fortitude. She will be missed by all.

Katherine and I were desk buddies in Indianapolis with the IRS for several years. I could count on her as a mentor to help with everyday issues, plus she gave good advice-I really looked up to her. This bloomed into a treasured friendship. She was a beautiful person inside and out and a very fine lady! I looked forward to her Christmas card every year. Please accept my deepest condolences.
Lifting the Miller family up in prayer. Peace, Kelli

Katherine was the light of the office. It was a joy working with her talent and laughter. I missed her when she retired. She was one very special lady to her co-workers. I will be praying for her and her family as she makes her way to heaven. God Bless Katherine and her family and friends. Until we met again Katherine.

I had the pleasure of working with Katherine Miller at the IRS. She was truly elegant, unassuming and very good at her job. She was always professional, always willing to share her expertise and always there to share a kind word or giggle. She was lovely inside and out. She was so interesting and so interested in so many things. I remember sharing my excitement with her when her "Letter to the Editor" was posted in Architectural Digest. My deepest condolences to the Miller family. I am keeping you all close in my thoughts and prayers.

Mrs Miller was like a second mom to me that ‘s why she was Mom Miller. I remember as a child she would go out of her way to pick me up or take me home so Michele and I could hang out together, even when we moved to different towns. She always made me feel welcome and she would make us extra French fries because we liked them so much. Many of my most memorable times in my life included the Millers. My heart sunk to hear of her passing. It’s been a rough time for the family loosing both their father and mother in a short time. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. RIP Mr and Mrs Miller 💕💕💕

Sharon, Craig and Michelle. I am so sorry for your loss. It has truly been a rough year. Your mom always had a warm smile and gracious heart. Always welcoming me into their home, even when Sharon and I were up to no good as young kids. She was a wonderful mom and friend to anyone she met. RIP Kathrine, always by Chuck's side, heart and soul. Love to you all!
