Lawrence Frederick “Fred” Eberbach Jr., 74, of Noblesville, Indiana, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2026. Born October 6, 1952, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Lawrence Frederick Eberbach Sr. and Katherine Andrea Eberbach, he was the eldest of five siblings. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Stephen, and his parents.
Fred grew up in Fort Wayne and graduated from Elmhurst High School. He then attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he met Rebecca Sue Flesher (Becky), whom he married in 1974. After graduating in 1975, he began a 42-year career with just two employers, Coopers & Lybrand and Emerson Electric. When he retired in 2017, he and Becky moved back to Indiana to be near their son, grandson, and family.
Fred enjoyed travel, camping, golfing, horseback riding, and playing the drums. He was a dedicated volunteer, both in and out of church, and took great joy in giving back.
In 2010, Fred joined the Catholic Church, becoming a devout parishioner. Since 2017, he had been a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Fred is survived by his beloved wife, Becky; son, Derick; grandson, Aiden; siblings, John, Kate, and Peter; and his wife’s siblings, Robert Flesher, Joel Flesher, and Karen Ackmann, and their spouses, all of whom held a special place in his heart. He also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on through the lives he touched.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2026, and funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Carmel, Indiana. Entombment will follow immediately at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Mausoleum in Indianapolis.
